Background
The following materials are associated with a talk given to the Lustleigh Society on Wedensday 30th March 2005, by Anne and Bill Beaumont, residents of Lustleigh for more than 50 years.

1. Son, Christopher, known as Chris, aged 18 months (1953), sets off on a country walk (note the knitted suit). Adventurous for such a young boy, Chris Frequently had to sit down and rest!
 
2. Daughter Suzanne aged 3 wearing her Indian suit (1957) accompanied by her brother Chris (aged 6). Chris proudly bears his prized possession of a British Rail Porter’s hat given to him by the Station Master at Lustleigh Station.
  Chris was always fanatical about trains and, as a young lad aged only 4, travelled alone on the train from Lustleigh to Brimley Halt to attend Miss Bodkin’s school at Bovey Tracey.
 
 
3. Lustleigh School 1958 – the school closed down in 1962.

  Head Master Mr. Dolton is on the back row with fellow teacher, his wife Mrs Dolton holding their child.
 
4. Nativity play (1965) in the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist with Rev. McGee (back left).
  The central King is Mr. Jenkins (the grocer from Stable House, later Stable House Gallery) with Mr Frank Bibbings of Stable House and Primrose Cottage immediately above the wings of angel Wendy Harvey. Catherine Beaumont is immediately in front of Wendy.
